ssc.nic.in SSC GD Selection Process

  • Successful completion of all phases of the selection process guarantees appointment.
  • Applicants must participate in four phases of the selection process, after which their performance will be evaluated for suitability for the vacancies.
  • Selected candidates will be designated as constables in various defense forces of the country.

The phases of the selection process include:

  • Computer Based Examination (CBE)

ssc.nic.in SSC GD Written Exam Details

During the initial phase of the selection process, candidates will be called upon to take part in the Computer Based Examination (CBE), which will be conducted online. Successfully clearing this stage will pave the way for candidates to progress to subsequent phases of the selection process.

 

  • The examination comprises 80 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • Each question carries a weightage of 02 marks.
  • For every incorrect response, a penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  • Questions in the exam are set at the Matric level.
  • Candidates are provided with a time limit of 60 minutes to complete the examination.

ssc.nic.in SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

After completing the written examination, aspirants will be called to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). In this test, candidates must clear the race within the given time frame.

  • For Male Candidate  – 5 Kms in 24 minutes.
  • For Female Candidates – 1.6 Kms in 8 minutes 30 seconds.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates who successfully clear the PET examination are required to participate in the Physical Standard Test (PST). Applicants will be chosen based on their adherence to physical fitness and standards following the norms established by the defense forces.

The candidates will find some crucial information mentioned on the SSC Constable GD Admit Card, and aspirants are also advised to keep it clean and safe till the completion of the recruitment process. The applicants will find details such as the Name & address of the candidate, the name & address of the exam center, the photo & sign of the candidate, etc.

Applicants will not get entry to the examination center if they do not carry the required documentation. Carrying a call letter is insufficient; they must bring identity proof and two recent passport-size photographs to the exam hall.
